Thought for the Week:

"While you were at the beach cooling off during our recent heat wave, guess what? The WUMC Vision One Team has been sweating it out in the church parlor, working hard on some new initiatives based on input from you all in our recent surveys and focus groups. We have lots of exciting, spirit-filled ideas we can't wait to share with you starting in September!"

Thought for the week

“Worry does not empty tomorrow of its sorrow; it empties today of its strength.”

--Corrie ten Boom

Bristol Lodge Serving Days - Monday, July 8th and August 12th

Bristol Lodge Serving Days - Monday, July 8th and August 12th

Our hungry brothers and sisters who come to the Bristol Lodge Soup Kitchen in Waltham are so grateful that God and you care about them!  Please continue to lift up them and their needs and concerns to God in prayer.

*** Especially lift up Wendy and her family. I've spoken with Wendy before, and in June I spoke to her together with Sandy Melius. Wendy's family is looking for a place to live. Several family members have substance abuse issues, and Wendy's been a crime victim. She has difficulty sleeping at night due to nightmares, and ended up in the hospital. Fortunately for Wendy, she found the nurses at Newton Wellesley Hospital to be wonderful. Wendy's concerned about her daughter; she no longer knows her daughter's whereabouts.

Thank-you for praying for Wendy and her family! She's very grateful that we pray for her, and she has asked for YOUR prayers.  ***
