Bristol Lodge Serving Days - Monday, July 8th and August 12th

Bristol Lodge Serving Days - Monday, July 8th and August 12th

Our hungry brothers and sisters who come to the Bristol Lodge Soup Kitchen in Waltham are so grateful that God and you care about them!  Please continue to lift up them and their needs and concerns to God in prayer.

*** Especially lift up Wendy and her family. I've spoken with Wendy before, and in June I spoke to her together with Sandy Melius. Wendy's family is looking for a place to live. Several family members have substance abuse issues, and Wendy's been a crime victim. She has difficulty sleeping at night due to nightmares, and ended up in the hospital. Fortunately for Wendy, she found the nurses at Newton Wellesley Hospital to be wonderful. Wendy's concerned about her daughter; she no longer knows her daughter's whereabouts.

Thank-you for praying for Wendy and her family! She's very grateful that we pray for her, and she has asked for YOUR prayers.  ***

The scripture for Sunday worship service (May 26, 2013 is Hosea 11:1-9.

What does this scripture tell us about God?

In what ways does it speak to us?

I praise God that, even when we turn from Him and ignore Him and refuse to return to Him, His compassion still grows warm and tender. God is not like us (thank God!) and through the love of Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit, He never ever gives up on us. He always welcomes us to return to His arms... and has all the time in the world for us!

Yours in Christ,

 Bob Hout
