Another for a family needs two beds for two teenage boys, if
anyone knows of any available furniture please reach out to Pastor Pat.
Justice for Our Neighbors (JFON)
The
Lowell clinic needs immediate help to coordinate and oversee each monthly walk-in,
open clinic dates. Help is also needed with hospitality, childcare,
fundraising, Spanish to English translation, and the housing of children. The
next organizational meeting will be held at the West Chelmsford United
Methodist Church, which is the home church of Rev. Wendell Luke, on August
15 at 7:00 p.m.
With JFON offices well established in
Woburn and Springfield, Lowell marks the third clinic that will open in
Massachusetts. A fourth office is scheduled for opening in Lawrence for later
this year to meet the surging needs for legal representation for the
immigrants. Extensive training is provided for all volunteers.
Anyone
interested in attending this meeting or in volunteering should speak with
Richard Lee.
